Search engines have become one of the most important parts of today’s internet world. People are using search engines to find basic information to latest research and comparing prices to buying products online. It is very important for your business to have good presence in all search engines especially in Google, MSN and Yahoo. This could be achieved through search engine optimisation known as SEO.

Search engine optimisation is a technique which helps to make your website search engine friendly and eventually increase presence in search engine result pages (SERP). This could be done by modifying your HTML code, so search engine bots can read and index these pages.

Your website content helps search engines to rank your website for specific keywords. Using the right keywords on your website will help to drive qualified traffic through search engines.

SEO consists of different techniques covering various aspects to promote your online business in organic listings of search engines. Main elements to search engine optimisation are as follows:

Industry Analysis

Keyword Research

Optimised Content

Code Changes and Enhancement

Link Building

This is a very basic post but gives a top level overview. In upcoming posts, I will be covering each element in more detail.
